Mercy Medical Center's Medical/Surgical/ECU floor consists of 15 private rooms and 5 observation rooms.  Patients are cared for in a team atmosphere utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment and discharge planning which involves the patient and the family.

Our inpatient unit was rated #2 in overall patient satisfaction for small hospitals (under 100 beds) by HealthStream Research for 2005.

Mercy Medical Center’s Extended Care Unit (ECU) is a skilled nursing unit utilized short term to transition patients from acute care to a home setting. We take a multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment and care, which includes professionals from nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social services, and nutrition as well as the physician.

Patients are cared for in a family centered, home like environment.  Daily activities are coordinated by our activities director.  Special entertainment is often performed by community volunteers, and weekly beauty shop and barber services are provided.
