Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is a 2½ hour class to help parents make an informed decision about breastfeeding. This session is designed to provide the information and support to make the feeding relationship between parent and baby successful. Topics include: physical and emotional preparation, getting started, common questions and solutions, family adjustments, nutrition, and working while breastfeeding.

Lamaze
Five Lamaze classes will assist mother and her support companion in becoming more physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared for labor, birth, and postpartum. A variety of coaching, breathing, and relaxation techniques are demonstrated and practiced during class. Instruction covers the process of birth, medication and medical management of labor, decision making, and transition to parenthood.
Baby Basics
This two hour class is designed to answer questions and ease concerns regarding the “how to’s” of caring for a newborn. The class covers nurturing, feeding, bathing, cord care, sleeping habits, and the parents’ changing world.
Happiest Baby on the Block
The Happiest Baby classes will teach parents simple, effective and fun, hands on techniques to quickly soothe their babies' cries and help them sleep a little longer. Parents may attend class before delivery or within the first 4 months after the baby is born. If you have delivered, please bring baby your baby to the class. Class fee is $20. Each participant will be given a Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and Soothing Sounds CD. If you are in need of financial assistance, scholarships are available. Infant Massage Learning infant massage techniques benefits both babies and their parents. It begins a loving, intimate communication between parent and baby while providing a nurturing bonding experience. Infant massage helps babies sleep better, reduces gas, stimulates growth and development and decreases stress. The class is designed for parents and their babies from birth to 1 year of age.
All classes are FREE, unless otherwise noted - donations are always welcome.
