About Nicky . . . Nicky was born in Minot and raised in Velva and Williston. She is a Williston High School graduate. Nicky has four children: Paul, 42; Mike, 40; Lisa, 33 and Chris, 29. She also has six grandchildren: Matt, Chasity, Austin, Steven, Tyler and Mary Jayne.
On her job . . . “I enjoy my job tremendously. It is very challenging recently, but enjoyable. I appreciate all my co-workers; they make my job much easier because of their flexibility and willingness to pick up extra shifts.”
On being named Employee of the Month . . . “I feel very honored to have been selected as Employee of the Month. There are so many employees at Mercy that are so deserving of this recognition.”
On what she looks forward to each day . . . “I look forward to spending time with my family and friends, and the excitement and challenges of each new day.”
On patient relations . . . “There are many employees at Mercy that work together as a team to provide excellent care for our patients. I consider it a privilege to be a part of this team. The friendly nature of Mercy Employees goes a long way in making our patients feel comfortable and well taken care of.”
Nomination Comments . . . “Nicky is a long term devoted Mercy employee. She is not only a patient advocate, but advocates for Mercy staff as well. Nicky has the challenging job of scheduling nursing staff and filling the many “holes.” She is always pleasant, even under extreme stress. Nicky is sincere, professional and dedicated to Mercy, the patients and the employees.”
