| Primary Duties: |
Patient assignments are made according to the competency of the staff. Assist staff as needed with patient care. Intervene in crisis or unstable situations and provide documentation of this situation in the patient record.
Prepare discharge and transfer papers.
Communicate patient status to other health care providers such as physicians, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, etc. Assists in development of the discharge plan for the patient and participates in the multidisciplinary discharge planning team. Facilitate physician/patient/family communication. Assure tasks that have been delegated are completed and patient outcomes are being met. Complete the SMR reports and gather the statistical data to monitor QI indicators for the purpose of improving patient care. Accountable for meeting goals set at yearly evaluations. Assists manager in assuring quality standards are met

| Qualifications: |
Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Prior Emergency room nursing preferred.
Required licensure/certification: Current North Dakota License, BLS, TNCC, PALS, ACLS Certified.
